This final assessment occurs for most ECT-2s towards the end of Term 6 (usually submitted online 1-2 weeks before the end of the academic year)
This Checklist is designed to ensure that you complete all of the necessary requirements, in good time to submit your review and get it signed off
If you are not on the standard induction time scale. E.g if you are part time or have a break in your induction, you either need to complete a Progress review or you will be transferred to the Five Counties Appropriate body to complete your induction. If you are in this position and are unsure o what to do, please contact Dave Wilson (dwilson@msnpartnership.com) as soon as possible for advice.
1. Shortly before the review opens online, you will be sent a reminder with a link to this page.
At this point Tutors must do the following:
Complete a final check of the ECTs evidence tracker and ensure that all of the evidence listed is of a good standard
Schedule your formal review meeting with the ECT for some point in the coming week

Read through the guidance doc on evaluative statements and the most relevant exemplar for further clarification Primary exemplar / Secondary exemplar or Five counties have produced this exemplar as well
Download the Final Assessment proforma and share it with your ECT.
NOTE: This form is substantially larger than the review point forms and slightly different to the EOY1 Assessment form
ECTs must do the following:

2. In your review meeting
Tutors should:
Complete the proforma using evidence logged by the ECT since the start of the year to back up all statements of strength
You can also refer back to the statements made in your review forms
Agree between 3 and 5 areas for development linked specifically to the teachers standards. Note: Areas for development could span several standards but there must be at least 3 distinct targets set as these will feed into the appraisal structure next year
ECTs should then:
Write your response to the review in the final box on the form. Ensure that you refer to each area for development and state clearly what you are going to do about them. e.g. observe ??? with low ability yr 10 or discuss with ??? approaches to SEND support in EYFS etc.
3. You will receive an email from the Appropriate Body when the online form is open. You will have about 2 weeks to upload and sign off the review.
Tutors must:

Copy and paste the contents of the form onto the online form and submit it
ECTs must then:

4. Before the deadline, Tutors must:

Ensure that everything is complete and "signed" by you and the ECT
5. Induction Leads should check all of the steps have been completed and ensure that the headteacher has "signed" off on the report before the deadline.
6. Finally ECTs and Induction Leads should download copies of the assessment(s) for the ECTs permanent record and to feed into the appraisal structure in year 3
Any problems with this process must be reported to Dave Wilson immediately
