Registering your ECTs and Mentors

Registering for the MNSP / 5 Counties Framework

This allows your ECT(s) and Mentors to access all of the training materials for the ECF

and keeps your Mentor(s) in the loop regarding updates and training.

Registering with the DfE

This initial step must be completed in order for funding to be allocated for your ECT. 

• You need to choose the "Use a training provider funded by the DfE"  route and a lead provider "Education Development Trust"  with "Five Counties Teaching school Hub Alliance" as our delivery partner. Our Appropriate body is "Five Counties Teaching School Hub - South Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset (Mangotsfield Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School)"

• You can then register your ECTs and Mentors using their Name, TRN, DoB and email address - Register your mentors first so that you can link their ECT when you register them.

• If your ECT is starting their ECT induction in the school year 2025-2026, they should be registered on the DfE portal as a 2025 starter.

• If your ECT is moving from another school having already started their ECT induction, they should be registered as a 2024 starter

Registering with the Appropriate body (5 Counties Alliance)

This is the registration for the induction process. This will normally be a 2 year process but part time teachers or teachers who start after September will have a longer induction period even if they have already completed the ECF.

MNSPs appropriate body is :  5 counties (south Gloucestershire and B&NES) Appropriate body: 

This registers your ECTs on the two year induction process. Deadline for this is usually 3 weeks into Term 1
